- If you are not familiar with the Kenai River, it is famous for
the world's largest King Salmon (97lb 4oz); fantastic Red, Silver and Pink salmon; as well
as trophy rainbow trout, dolly varden and char fishing. In addition, the Kenai Peninsula
is spectacular for: hiking, wildlife viewing, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking,
mushroom/berry picking, etc. In winter: skiing, aurora, dog sled rides, snowmobiling, ice
fishing are popular.
